vibrant core of downtown Seattle. Position Summary The Assistant
Director of Accounting under the general direction of the Director
of Finance plans, directs, reviews, and coordinates the accounting
section of the Public Facilities District. The role is critical to
generating accurate, timely, and GAAP/GASB compliant financial data
and reporting. The position performs work of a highly technical and
complex nature. An incumbent is responsible for exercising the
day-to-day formal supervision over professional and clerical
personnel and, on occasion, additional supervisory responsibilities
in the absence of Director of Finance. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned. Accounting and Audit Duties In conjunction with the
Director of Finance and Accounting / CFO manage all accounting
related functions including creating accounting and audit policies,
reviewing financial statements, implementing GAAP accounting
standards issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board
(GASB), and developing accounting documentation Manage accounting
staff which includes payroll accountant, Capital Accountant, and
Accounting Manager The position will develop appropriate service
levels for customers for internal and external customers Develop a
schedule with due dates and critical milestones, resolve issues as
they arise, and identify areas for efficiencies/improvements
Implement new and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles, GASBs, RCWs, and other regulatory guidance
Prepare financial statements, including income statement, statement
of net position and cash flow statement. Assign financial statement
notes to staff and review. Develop and maintain relationships with
State Auditor Office (SAO) staff, as well as other external
auditors, facilitate the exchange of audit information, resolve
issues as they arise, work with WSCC PFD (SCC) departmental staff
to answer questions and information requests, develop response to
audit recommendations. Develop and implement corrective action
plans and/or design or modify policies/procedures, as needed. Lead
cross-departmental policy changes when necessary. Engage with
service partners to appropriately track, reconcile, and comply with
service contracts. Seek support from external accounting services
to bolster technical accounting practices across the department.
Budget and Reporting Duties Support PFD-wide budget preparation
including collection of budget data, reporting, and work across
departments to draft and complete annual budget. Manage the monthly
financial reporting and preparation of the annual budgets for the
organization, in-depth knowledge of business operations to develop
budgets and understand financial results of each unit. Developed
and create budget and accounting reports that support management
financial analysis and research. Support the development of the
Capital Budget and reporting of the capital spending during each
year. Other Duties Represent the Director of Finance in
circumstances when they are not available. Support Art Committee
with financial reporting, tax reporting, and investment advice.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or directly related
field Four (4) or more years' experience in financial management or
accounting two (2) of which should be managing people and processes
*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be
considered. Benefit Highlights: Pay: $96,186.00 - $150,290.00/year
