want to hear from you.Role SummaryThe Senior Manager, Loyalty
Finance and Accounting is responsible for balancing the strategic
priorities while ensuring tactical execution for loyalty-related
accounting and finance at Alaska Air. As a people leader, the
Senior Manager, Loyalty Finance and Accounting leads and
establishes priorities for the team that delivers loyalty
accounting model updates, loyalty-related project management, and
financial analysis of the loyalty program.Key DutiesLeads team and
establishes priorities to design and implement strategic solutions
to support accurate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and
financial analytics of the Mileage Plan program.Assesses and
reviews the accurate and timely performance of Mileage Plan related
accounting and reporting, including month-end review of loyalty
related balance sheet reconciliations.Cultivates a team that
Identifies key variances, trends, or potential issues that may
materially impact Air Group's financial performance.Influences
across team to drive improvements and implements changes to
existing accounting and finance processes with a focus on
efficiency, scalability, and process excellence.Establishes and
ensures key internal controls over the Mileage Plan data and
processes are adequate.Makes decisions for and Oversees the
coordination of audits and settlements associated with key alliance
and loyalty partnerships.Utilizes project management skills to
coordinate overlapping projects, both routine and ad hoc, such as
new partner contracts, valuation analyses, breakage studies,
technical accounting assessments, system upgrades and transitions
or business changes that impact loyalty data.Manages a team of
direct reports with a results-oriented mindset, provides feedback
and coaching to the team to promote a high-performance
culture.Communicates clearly and effectively to educate enterprise
leaders on financial performance and key metrics associated with
loyalty and partnership activity.Facilitates external valuations
and other projects that require data aggregation, reasonableness
reviews, and documentation of changes in formal memos.Advise on
revenue accounting considerations and implications of changes to
the loyalty program, new or modified partner contracts, and other
business changes.Develop people through effective performance
management and ongoing feedback, focusing on fostering strategic
and systems thinking, development of talent, and succession
planning across teams and disciplines.Drive effective diversity,
equity and inclusion practices to build a culture of belonging
while actively supporting and executing on the company's D&I
initiatives, goals and commitments.Shape culture of the team
through action, presence, and reinforcement of
behaviors.Job-Specific Experience, Education & SkillsRequired7
years of experience in accounting, or related area.4 years of
leadership experience, with success leading and managing a
team.Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting or related
discipline, or an additional two years of relevant
training/experience in lieu of this degree.Strong GAAP knowledge,
specifically in ASC606.A self-starter who willingly takes
initiative and accepts responsibility.Ability to analyze complex
data, summarize in a concise manner, and make meaningful business
recommendations in a timely fashion.Excellent critical thinking,
analysis, and problem solving skills and a process improvement
mindset.Proven ability to leverage business acumen and analytic
capability as a business partner.Strong documentation and memo
writing skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with
advanced Excel capabilities.High school diploma or equivalent is
required.Minimum age of 18.Must be authorized to work in the
U.S.PreferredBig 4 public accounting experience with 2 years of
"busy seasons".5 years of experience budgeting and
forecasting.Experience with PeopleSoft financial

be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to
location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing
internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
