you!Opportunity Overview: YouthForce CASE MANAGERThe mission of the
Boys & Girls Club of King County is to, inspire and enable all
young people, especially those who need us the most, to realize
their full potential as a productive, responsible, and caring
citizens. We recognize that some youth need specialized supports to
overcome barriers to reach their full potential. The YouthForce
program works with community partners to provide employment,
education, training, and support services to help prepare young
people for their journey into the work force as responsible,
productive and caring citizens. As a case manager, this position
supports the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
programs for youth and young adults who are low-income and may have
experience in foster care, homelessness, juvenile justice and/or
other systems to develop skills to be successful after high school.
This position provides specialized services to WIOA eligible youth
between the ages of 14-21 as they participate in and engage with
YouthForce programs, internships, and workforce development
opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain a
caseload, as determined by the Program Director, ensuring services
are provided to qualifying applicants and all programmatic
requirements are met and documented through timely, detailed case
notes Support YouthForce pre-apprenticeship training programs
through youth recruitment, case management, and by maintaining
partner relationshipsConduct intake and assessment of youth's
strengths, needs, and interestsIdentify any barriers to success in
education and employment Coordinate internship interviews, hiring,
and candidate referral to internship sites best suited to their
skills and long-term career interestsSupport the facilitation of
and youth participation in Career Readiness curriculumMaintain an
environment that facilitates the implementation and achievement of
youth development outcomes through program service deliveryEnsure
member confidentiality during and after employment: which includes,
but not limited to membership data, school data, and other
information obtained Support intern recruitment efforts for teens
from BGCKC, local school districts, and community-based
organizations through collaborative partnershipsParticipate in
special programs, events, or other duties as directed by YF Program
and Executive Director QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIESMust have a High School Diploma or GED Bachelor Degree in
Social Services or related field preferred or equivalent education
and experience may be substituted for education Must be a
passionate servant leader with a strong sense of calling to the
field of intervention in addition to insights and understanding of
the unique challenges our youth faceExperience engaging youth of
different backgrounds and experience in youth service field
preferred Ability to communicate, in writing and verbally: by
writing reports and business correspondence; speaking effectively
before individuals, and public groupsCompetence with Excel, Word,
data entry systems and computerized database managementAbility to
interview, conduct community outreach or education in
community-based organization, and communicate effectively with
diverse populations, including school personnel, service providers,
and parents of referred youthAbility to maintain professionalism/be
aware and manage personal bias and attitudesAbility to model and
guide youth in strengths-based problem solving, goal setting and
job ready skillsAbility to be flexible and adapt to program changes
Current CPR and First Aid Certifications preferredMust have a valid
Washington State Driver's License Must have reliable independent
transportation for travel between club sitesMust be able to work
some nights and weekends HOURS: Full Time, 40 hours per week. Some
evening and weekend work required.LOCATION: Smilow Rainier Vista
Boys & Girls Club, 4520 MLK Jr Way S Seattle, WA. Some travel
required.REPORTS TO: YouthForce Executive DirectorFLSA: Hourly,
Non-ExemptSALARY: $22-$24, DOE. Generous benefit package including
