Project Access Northwest Seattle, WA Temporary Administration /
Clerical The Director of Development is responsible for the
identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and
stewardship of donors to the organization. This includes the design
and implementation of an annual resource development and marketing
plan that include fundraising efforts in direct mail solicitation,
special events, organizational solicitation, and individual donors.
Works closely with the Executive Director and other teammates to
secure philanthropic investments to support the organizations
programs and services.Other duties, responsibilities, and
activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without
notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed annual
revenue goals including funds raised through individual and
institutional gifts, special events, and corporate/business
sponsorships.
- Annually create goals, objectives, and outcomes for development
and communications and periodically review these goals, objectives,
and results.
- Work with the Development Committee Chair and Development
Committee members to implement a yearly fundraising plan with a
focus on revenue sustainability and multi-year partnerships.
- Work with the Board of Directors, and support board members as
they take on a more active fundraising role.
- Represents the organization to the public in relationship to
philanthropic support.
- Exhibits guiding behaviors that supports the mission and vision
of Project Access Northwest.
- Actively use the donor database.
- Recruit, train and manage staff/volunteers involved with
development activities (peer to peer fundraising, campaigns,
etc.).
- Oversee the development, management, and implementation of all
direct fundraising mailings, annual report, and gift
acknowledgement letters.
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
and prospects, including individuals, corporations, governments,
and foundations.
- Research funding sources and trends with the foresight to help
position Project Access Northwest ahead of significant changes in
the fundraising landscape.
- Participate in local associations of development professionals
and network with community/business leaders.
- Ability to travel to different locations for functions and
flexibility to attend functions outside normal work hours.
- Develop, manage, and implement all marketing materials
associated with development and special events, including but not
limited to brochures, websites, social media, press releases, and
email campaigns.
