Sous Chef (Production Manager) - Salty's at the Sea- Seattle
Airport Support the operation by serving as second in command in
any kitchen. Ensures that the kitchen runs smoothly by assisting
the line cooks when necessary. Effectively coach and mentor kitchen
staff. Plan and direct the preparation of food in the kitchen.
Assist with the scheduling of personnel. Fill-in for the executive
chef, when needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Assists and support the executive chef.
- Assists the sales and marketing team.
- Hires and train kitchen staff.
- Oversees the preparation and service of food.
- Assists in the planning and creation of menus and meals.
- Offers guidance on the preparation, cooking and presentation of
any food item in the restaurant. -
- Handles any problems that may arise in the kitchen.
- -Ensures customers are served efficiently and effectively.
- -Manages the chef and kitchen staff.Decision-Making
Authority:Position would normally be responsible for carrying out
assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision. Issues that may
require interpretation of policy or might have significant impact
would be referred to the executive chef.Qualifications:To perform

Experience:High school diploma and formal culinary training.
Minimum of five years experience in food preparation environment.
Knowledge of food sanitation, proper cleaning and safety. Extensive
knowledge of cooking and food preparation concepts. Good
organizational skillsRequired skills: Must love and enjoy working
with food. The level of personal hygiene should be high. Good
organizational and management skills. Can work well under pressure.
Superior oral and written communication skills. Good attention to
detail plus the ability to quickly identify and resolve
problemsMathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and
divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply
reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written,
oral or diagram form.Physical Demands:The physical demands
