The Account Manager is an Inside Sales/Customer Service position and has the responsibility as the primary customer contact to resolve issues and answer customer questions on existing orders and acts as the interface between the customer and internal Boyd departments to ensure the product and delivery meets customer specifications and expectations. The overall focus is to make existing business opportunities successful and increase the opportunity with those same clients for additional business.The Account Manager creates and maintains a high degree of customer loyalty by putting into action their highly effective understanding of the customers' buying processes and what the customer values, and then conveying and helping other Boyd employees understand and respond to those customer needs.
Essential Job Responsibilities


  • Implement and facilitate Boyd Corporation's existing customer order process in a timely manner and in accordance with the Boyd response time matrix, to support customers' requirements with the goal of both delighting customers and exceeding team sales goals
  • Understand each customer's needs and generate value by assisting in the creation of sales solutions that benefit both the customer and Boyd Corporation. Using an overall knowledge of Boyd's products and manufacturing capabilities, assist the New Product Manager(s) in creating and maintaining an internal sales and support plan to increase sales to all of the Team's assigned customers
  • Work with and support the Boyd Corporation outside sales team with the primary goal of making the outside sales team successful in acquiring new customers and increasing sales to and servicing existing customers. Do this by helping the sales team position Boyd products and solutions for success and providing expedient follow up to any customer questions or inquiries. The ultimate goal is to make Boyd the sole supplier of all products Boyd Corporation manufactures that the customer uses
  • Work with internal departments (such as Design Engineering and Production) to establish pricing that ensures margin targets are met while ensuring the offer to the customer is competitive in the market
  • Create and maintain great communication with both internal and external customers and keep all concerned informed of requirements, problems, solutions/resolutions and changes
  • Uses the Boyd Corporation systems and processes, as well as other software programs to effectively and efficiently research and reply to customers' requests
  • Other duties as assigned
  • The pay range for this position: $60k-75k, FLSA status: exempt
