• Pre-tax election commuter benefits Summary:The Facilities Director is responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance for the community; Assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining maintenance services.Primary Responsibilities:Coordinates and/or performs maintenance and repair required to keep the building in good working condition according to the preventative maintenance program and work orders.
  • Negotiates contracts and ensures outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contracts
  • Regularly inspects equipment and buildings to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
  • Ensures that work areas are clean, free of hazardous conditions and that all tools and supplies are properly stored
  • Ensures compliance with fire and safety codes, including interacting with fire, building and safety inspectors
  • Responds to and is available for emergency calls from the CommunityKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Possess technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment generally used in a health care setting
    • Ability to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of others
    • Good communication and organization skills
    • Ability to use Word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet
    • Ability to follow all OBRA, OSHA and L&I requirements ensuring personnel and resident safety at all times
    • Ability to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of others
    • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
    • Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
    • Ability to work some weekends and holidaysEducation and Experience:
