Airworthiness organization is seeking a K-46 BDS Airworthiness
Manager to lead the KC-46A Tanker team in Everett, WA. The
successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of employees that
provide certification guidance, direction, and support to the KC-46
Tanker program. This position requires close collaboration with
Tanker program leadership and the Regulatory Administration &
Airworthiness team to ensure successfully completion of
Supplemental Type Certification (STC) projects on the KC-46A Tanker
platform.This is a position which relies heavily on the following
skills: leadership, communication, people, and project oversight.
This first level management position provides opportunities to
showcase and build your leadership, management and people
skills.Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure ODA unit members are supported, and have the time and
independence necessary to carry out their regulatory
responsibilities
- Coordinate and convey certification strategies, objectives and
status to the FAA
- Navigate complex regulatory processes and landscapes while
providing guidance to a network of stakeholders across all levels
of management and non-management
- Define and communicate the prioritization of certification
tasks to internal and external stakeholders
- Assess Applicant certification proposals and address related
inquiries
- Support employee development strategies and organizational
endeavors related to enhancing employee engagement, influence and
expertise
- Ensure ODA objectives and procedures are understood and
implemented across the value stream
- Ensure regulator actions are successfully implemented and
closed
- Manage budgets, headcounts, schedules and staffing
strategiesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. - The
selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed
location option.This position must meet export control compliance
requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a
"U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. -120.15 is required. - "U.S.
Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee,
or asylee. - Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 2+ years of experience working with regulatory -procedures and
processes
- 3+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of experience leading teams and/or leading
initiativesPreferred Qualifications:
- Aircraft-level thinking and integration
- Experience with multiple aircraft systems and teams
- Experience with change management processes
- Experience with FAA Orders and the ODA Procedures Manual
- Experience with BDS finance tools and processesRelocation:This
