  • Leadership Training: Investment in developing industry-leading leadersPosition Summary:Reporting to the COO and serving as a key leadership team member, the Director of Manufacturing will oversee Manufacturing (Packaging and Single Serve), Coffee Operations (Roasting, Grinding, Flavoring), and Machine Center Maintenance. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, achieving bottom-line results, and implementing strategic initiatives to improve throughput and reduce costs. The role also involves managing our video-based training initiative and training floor employees. This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing-focused, highly motivated operations professional.The role emphasizes Continuous Improvement and LEAN Principles to enhance manufacturing efficiencies while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in the coffee industry.This position is designed as a Growth Role, with the potential to be promoted to Vice President within 18-24 months, with ownership of all operations.Essential Responsibilities:Leadership and Management:
    • Work effectively alongside team members, leadership, and executives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to ensure process effectiveness and achievement of KPIs.
    • Lead daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, product quality, and resource utilization.
    • Maintain visibility as a leader on the manufacturing floor and with internal partners.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, focusing on facts and problem-solving.
    • Manage a diverse team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Think strategically and innovatively to align performance with corporate goals, supporting growth and profitability.
    • Set annual goals and manage performance to meet or exceed them.Planning & Execution:
      • Optimize utilization of manufacturing assets, space, and equipment.
      • Use data analytics to evaluate performance, forecast inventory, and meet distribution needs.
      • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure high production schedules and customer service levels.
      • Manage manufacturing equipment, safety, repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor relations.
      • Develop and improve supplier programs and lead negotiations.
      • Enhance quality awareness, reduce waste, uphold 5S principles, and manage labor costs.
      • Ensure compliance with SQF manufacturing principles, safety, and sustainability initiatives.People Development & Team Building:
        • Promote a collaborative culture, enabling resource flexibility.
        • Identify and develop future leaders, supporting their growth.
        • Lead and coach teams to maintain GMP, quality, and safety standards.Budgeting & Forecasting:
          • Work with leadership to meet financial and strategic goals.
          • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and implement improvements.Systems & Process Improvement:
            • Drive system and process enhancements for efficiency and scalability.
            • Implement automation and best practices to improve workflows and reporting.Other duties as assigned.Education/Experience and Requirements:
              • 15+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, with 3-5 years managing teams of 100+.
              • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred.
              • Experience with high-speed equipment, robotics, and PLCs preferred.
              • Proven leadership in manufacturing with measurable achievements.
              • High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
              • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt preferred.
              • Strong influence and continuous improvement mindset.
              • High integrity, organized, and effective communicator.
              • Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and lead hands-on initiatives.
              • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business systems a plus.Physical and Mental Requirements:
                • Excellent communication skills.
                • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
                • Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving ability.Work Environment:
                  • Primarily based in the corporate office, with occasional support in the warehouse.
                  • Work involves standing, exposure to noise, and coffee dust; PPE required.Work Habits:
                    • Maintain confidentiality and exhibit teamwork and leadership.
                    • Initial 30 days involve observing and learning.
                    • Assess current processes for efficiency improvements.
