Licensed Practical Nurse - Endoscopy Washington-Seattle Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Endoscopy at Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs direct nursing care activities as a member of a multidisciplinary team. The LPN provides nursing care under the direction and supervision of a RN to patients in routine nursing situations, where the patient is considered stable and relatively free of complexity. In this position you will: * Under supervision of the RN, assist in implementing the nursing process by making basic observations and collecting nursing data related to the physical, spiritual and psychosocial condition of assigned patients. * In compliance with established policies and standards of care perform a variety of individual care and technical skills to provide timely and appropriate patient care. This work is carried out under the supervision of the RN. * Identify changes in patient condition and refer to Registered Nurse in a timely fashion. * Contribute to the development, implementation, or modification to the individualized patient plan of care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. * Work closely with patients to encourage them to actively participate in their care as appropriate to their state of health. Required qualifications for this position include: * Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing * Current Practical Nurse licensed to practice in Washington State * BLS Certification Preferred qualifications for this position include: * Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) * Certified in Pharmacology by the National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Services (NAPNES) or National League of Nursing About the Ballard Campus. Swedish's Ballard campus maintains its strong ties to the Ballard community and fosters a team-oriented work environment. The Ballard campus has an active obstetrics program and a full-service Emergency Department. It is the site of Swedish s Addiction Recovery Services one of the few hospital-based drug- and alcohol-treatment programs in Seattle. LPN/LVN Full-time
