POSITION SUMMARY

The Respiratory Care Practitioner 1 at Asante supports the team of respiratory care professionals by providing routine services to non-critical patients care areas. This position is transitional in nature and is designed to prepare the practitioner for advancement to respiratory care in adult critical care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

* Six months clinical experience delivering respiratory care in non-critical care environments typically required; however New Grads (with strong recommendations) will be considered


* Previous entry-level respiratory care experience, preferred



Licensure

* Respiratory Therapist (RT-P) licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start


* CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)


* Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start


* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association, preferred


* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by American Heart Association, preferred



Required Skills

* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills


* Data collection and analysis skills


* Strong communication skills


* Ability to function as an effective team member


* Word processing, keyboarding, Windows preferred
