Job Description:

PurposePurpose: Float PSRs provide coverage support to front desk operations in Neighborcare clinics located across the Seattle region as well as for the Patient Contact Center located in Georgetown. Float PSRs can be assigned to different medical and/or dental locations on a daily or weekly basis, depending on where their services are needed most. When assigned to a clinic, float PSRs will provide a warm welcome to patients and their families and serve as an information resource for people who arrive at the clinic. When assigned to the Contact Center, the PSR will be the first point of contact for new and returning patients into the Neighborcare system by answering inbound and making outbound outreach calls, including but not limited to responding to requests and questions about appointments.This position will be eligible for a Float Premium of $1.25/hr!Neighborcare Health offers a robust benefit package including health insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, retirement pet insurance, and more! This position is eligible for the Staff Referral Program.In this position you will:

  • Travel to different medical and/or dental clinic locations as required. Handle a high volume of calls in an inbound, fast paced contact center. Ability to use data spreadsheets and applications to make outbound calls.
  • Schedule new and returning appointments in the EHR following scheduling guidelines. Provide registration services and guide patients in registration process. Is a knowledgeable resource to patients via telephone and-in person interactions.
  • Effectively resolves patient requests and/or successfully manages prolonged or complex issues, with high attention to managing the customer experience and emotion. Gather information for accurate documentation of calls and enter into proper database. Verify and update necessary information at the point of scheduling.
  • Identify, research, and resolve patient questions and inquiries regarding the patient portal. Act as first-level technical response to questions such as MyNeighborcare patient portal password re-set, log-in issues, appointment confirmation, information in medical record looks incorrect, etc.
  • Meet or exceed contact center performance standards and measure with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Achieve and maintain a minimum call-per-hour productivity standard. At the clinic, maintains patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is organized and neat.
  • Calls patients daily to confirm next day's appointments and prepares charts and accounts on a daily basis as applicable. Schedules walk-in patients for same day appointments. Reconciles fee slips and run reports at end of shift or throughout day. Responds to emergent needs and assist teams by calling taxis, ambulance, etc.
  • Partners with other members of the clinic team to ensure patients are receiving the needed services, including participating in huddles and all-staff meetings. Checks insurance eligibility and scans Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance cards. Collects co-pays and fees as needed, including closeout of drawer at the end of the day.
  • Coordinate with internal eligibility department to ensure applications for coverage are initiated prior to appointment. Coordinate with Interpreter Services as needed. Comply with the Neighborcare risk management, compliance, and information security program requirements, including accurate and timely reporting of all adverse incidents.
  • Observe principles of data security and patient confidentiality. Maintain ethical standards in the performance of duties and in interactions with patients and co-workers. Demonstrate professional demeanor in appearance/ behavior in all work-related interactions. Participates in and completes required organizational training programs, including annual Safety t and HIPAA and Compliance training. Attend and participate in staff meetings as directed.Required qualifications:
    • High School diploma or GEDPreferred qualifications
      • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
      • One (1) year of experience in a customer service setting
