Home Care Aides with their certified nursing assistants (CNA)
license provide care and personal services either in-home (client)
or on campus (resident). These services often include
companionship, personal care, housekeeping, and meal support
according to a written Plan of Care.

Follow the Plan of Care initiated by Supervisor of Care
Coordination for each assigned client. Activities and care may
include, but are not limited to the following:
Personal Care Duties
Baths, showers, toileting, dressing/undressing, skin care, and
other personal care needs.
Resident safety checks.
Reporting changes in physical, mental, emotional, or physical
condition to management.
Documentation of visits and care given/refused and
Taking and recording weight and other vital signs.
Assist with gait, including proper use of walkers or other
Position in bed, assist with ROM or other routine exercise
Provide all tasks within licensed scope of practice in a home
Knowledgeable of and follows emergency procedures.
Assist in maintaining neat, orderly, and safe environment in each
client or resident's home.
Housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, errands
as requested or included in the Plan of Care.
Maintain a written log with receipts of all client/resident money
used to purchase goods or materials for care.
Performs other duties as requested and as indicated on Plan of
(if applicable) Live-In duties; able to live in client home with
reasonable accommodations for 24 hours a day for extended days.
Must stay in home entire 24 hours unless assigned to leave for
errands per Plan of Care.
Must be able to eat meals in client home without individualized
preparation; if special food required aide must supply for
Must have no physical contact with (your) personal family/friends
while living in client home.
Submit timely charting, paperwork, and other reporting
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other Company policies and

Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Active Washington State HCA (Home Care Aide) license OR Certified
Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
Maintain annual requirements for TB, CPR, First Aid, and continuing
Active Washington State Driver's license or have access to public
transportation unless assignments can be made within transportation
Active automobile insurance coverage.
Recognize and report adverse changes to management
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to remain calm during unanticipated in-home
Nurse Delegation, with Diabetes
Must use telephone for documenting time worked and meal periods
Document time-in and time-out for each client visit.
Ability to move about within a home settings.
Ability to walk, bend, stand, stoop and squat for client care and
Sit for charting, phone use, feeding of residents and computer
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
