UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a 90% FTE (36 hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Emergency Department. We are currently hiring experienced RNs and RNs who are new to critical care to join our floor. Our Emergency Department provides specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients, and we have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region. We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center, providing both surgical services and critical care. Our Emergency Department is fast-paced and is a great match for a Registered Nurse interested in supporting a diverse population from our local and regional communities.

    3x12 shift schedule, day shift only (7:00am - 7:30pm).

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    As an RN, you will:
  • Work alongside board-certified emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, and cardiac care professionals
  • Restore patients' health by following evidence-based nursing practices
  • Identify care needs
  • Monitor and administer medications
  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

    REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 years of current or recent inpatient nursing experience
  • ACLS

    LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous nursing experience in a critical care environment
  • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
