opened Emergency Department is the second largest in the state of
Washington, and offers 52 state of the art private treatment rooms.
The open floor model allows for greater visibility, patient safety,
and supports our team nursing approach. Doctors, Nurses, ED Techs,
and Social Workers collaborate to provide our patients with the
best in emergency care. Critical patients can be transferred and
received by helicopter with a helipad located on the hospital
rooftop. We are certified by the Joint Commission as a Cardiac and
Stroke Center and are designated as a Level III Trauma Center with
2 private bays for providing critical care. The front end process
includes 6 Fast track and 5 triage rooms with assigned doctors and
nurses to support rapid assessment and treatment. Our staff pride
themselves in providing excellent emergency care to the community
in which we live and serve. \n \nStaffing: \nDemonstrates competent
professional practice and engages in opportunities for professional
growth. Demonstrates self-accountability to meet stated deadlines
for all mandatory requirements.\nProvides health care education and
guidance to patients and their families. Educates regarding
results, findings and diagnoses to the patient and the patient's
family within scope of practice.\n\nQualifications\nJob
Requirements: \nGraduation from an accredited school of nursing,
BSN preferred\nMinimum 6 months previous RN experience
required.\nPrevious Emergency experience or Critical Care
experience within the last 2 years preferred\nCurrent licensure as
a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of
Nursing.\nAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within
sixty days of hire, and maintained as current thereafter.\nCurrent
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.\nCompletion
of a NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) class is required at
sites that do not provide labor and delivery services within twelve
months of date of hire and must be maintained as current
thereafter. \nTrauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve
months of date of hire. Certification must be maintained as current
thereafter. \nNational Institutes of Health Strokes Scale (NIHSS)
certification within six months of date of hire, and maintained as
current thereafter.\nEmergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC)
OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within twelve months of
date of hire. Certification(s) must be maintained as current
thereafter.\nNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified
Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is preferred.\n\nPay
Range\n$37.37 - $60.79 /hour
