Responsibilities Registered Nurse- Critical Care Float Pool (0.
75 FTE, night shift) As an integral member of the Health Care Team,
the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the
State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice,
and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and
guidelines of care. Responsible for providing safe, family centered
patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible
for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care
in a collaborative method with the patient and patient's family,
significant others, and members of the health care team. May be
required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse
Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical
Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by
the State Administrative Code. Assists in meeting Seattle
Children's strategic goals by incorporating the initiatives to
support the strategic plans into the daily work, i. e. Continuous
Performance Improvement (CPI), ART, etc. In accordance with House
Bill 1155 (effective January 1, 2020), the following areas have
clinical unpredictable needs and as a result will have a call
obligation within their nursing positions: Apheresis, Cardiac Cath
Lab, Dialysis, ECMO, Home Care Services, Imaging Services
(including GI Procedures), Perioperative Services, and Transplant
Coordinators. Job Posting Addendum Requirements: * 2 years current
RN experience working in a NICU or PICU/CICU setting is required. *
Willingness to work in all three areas (NICU, PICU and CICU) once
oriented. * 2 years CRRT experience. * ECLS/ECMO experience. *
Current Washington State RN License. * Graduate of an accredited
school of nursing. * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). * As
per the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for RN's performing
moderately complex point of care testing, a copy of a diploma or
transcript of the highest level of academic achievement to be on
record with Human Resources upon hire. Nurses who work in the
critical care float pool setting may perform moderately complex
Point of Care Testing with patients and will be required to provide
a copy of your diploma or transcripts for the highest level of
education achieved on or before your start date. * Nurses will be
asked to work over time or be on call occasionally. Preferred: *
CCRN specialty certification. * Previous experience in CCFP role. *
CRRT primer experience. Please note: The Critical Care Float
Pool/Advanced Technology RN will have dual functions in their job.
* The CCFP nurse will also function as an Advanced Technology nurse
- supporting advanced technology needs and education throughout the
ICU division. Number of Advanced technology shifts vary. * The CCFP
nurse will be assigned Advanced Technology shifts and direct
patient care shifts at the bedside within the ICU division.

training, excellent communication and interpersonal skills in
critical situations, demonstrates a collaborative, professional
approach to patient care and education, strong critical thinking
skills, team player, demonstrates excellence in teaching to all
levels of the health care team, self-directed learner, proactive,
maintains positive attitude towards change and feedback, and
confidence in their nursing abilities. Requirements Required
Education/Experience: - Graduate of an accredited school of
nursing. Required Credentials: - Current Washington State RN
License, or other current state license that the RN is required to
work in. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Providers is required for all positions. Pediatric Emergency
Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for
Healthcare Providers. ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to
the requirements listed above. Employees are responsible for any
costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining
PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the
position. - Nurses working in the following areas are required to
successfully obtain PALS within 6 months of employment, and
subsequently maintain at all times: - Critical Care Float - As per
the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for nurses performing
moderately complex point of care testing in the following areas, a
copy of a diploma or transcript of the highest level of academic
achievement to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. For
personnel trained outside of the U.S., records of
diploma/transcript must provide documented equivalency evaluation
by a foreign credentialing agency. - Critical Care Float -
Specialty certification in area of practice may be required for
specific departments. Min to Max Hourly Salary$42.21 - $83.18 /hr
Min to Max Annual Salary$87,796.80 - $173,014.40 /yr Salary
Information This compensation range was calculated based on
full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers
are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills,
experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
