employee care.*Position Summary*The Mental Health Technician is an
incredible opportunity to expand your role in health care through
functioning as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment
team. This role is responsible for providing a safe, supportive,
and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while
assisting with the provision of basic patient care and recovery
needs.*Responsibilities** You will support the unit through
excellent patient customer service and clinic management
assistance* *You will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff,
front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive
health care outcomes** You will perform a variety of functions
within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and
integration of available standards, resources, and data* *Advocate
for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and
health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds** You
will assist with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by
observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room
searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate
emotional and physical support* *You will provide and document
interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to
the needs of each patient**Requirements** Bachelors Degree in
Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services
field required; Two (2) years of inpatient Behavioral Health
experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree* Must
obtain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor registration
within 60 days of hire unless a higher credential is held* Must
obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date*
Health Care Provider level CPR certification Peer MHT:
Self-identify as a consumer who has received mental health services
and can demonstrate that they have been well grounded in their own
mental health recovery for at least one year* Must be eligible for
Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor* Minimum one (1) year
