Job Description:
OverviewOur newly opened Emergency Department is the second
largest in the state of Washington, and offers 52 state of the art
private treatment rooms. The open floor model allows for greater
visibility, patient safety, and supports our team nursing approach.
Doctors, Nurses, ED Techs, and Social Workers collaborate to
provide our patients with the best in emergency care. Critical
patients can be transferred and received by helicopter with a
helipad located on the hospital rooftop. We are certified by the
Joint Commission as a Cardiac and Stroke Center and are designated
as a Level III Trauma Center with 2 private bays for providing
critical care. The front end process includes 6 Fast track and 5
triage rooms with assigned doctors and nurses to support rapid
assessment and treatment. Our staff pride themselves in providing
excellent emergency care to the community in which we live and
serve.Staffing:Demonstrates competent professional practice and
engages in opportunities for professional growth. Demonstrates
self-accountability to meet stated deadlines for all mandatory
requirements.Provides health care education and guidance to patient
and their families. Educates regarding results, findings and
diagnoses to patient and the patient's family within scope of

practice.QualificationsJob Requirements:Graduation from an
accredited school of nursing, BSN preferredMinimum 6 months
previous RN experience required.Previous Emergency experience or
Critical Care experience within the last 2 years preferredCurrent
licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State
Board of Nursing.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
within sixty days of hire, and maintained as current
thereafter.Current BLS Certification from the American Heart
Association. Please be advised that this location requires
quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality
Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing
competency is required through resources internal to the facility;
outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for
CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.Completion of a NRP
(Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) class is required at sites that
do not provide labor and delivery services within twelve months of
date of hire and must be maintained as current thereafter.Trauma
Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve months of date of hire.
Certification must be maintained as current thereafter.National
Institutes of Health Strokes Scale (NIHSS) certification within six
months of date of hire, and maintained as current
thereafter.Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within twelve months of date
of hire. Certification(s) must be maintained as current
thereafter.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified
Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is preferred.Pay Range$42.43 -
