JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse Interventional provides nursing care for patients in the department which meet basic ADL needs. Circulates in the department; recognizes physical and emotional changes in patients' condition and is able to assist with biopsy, drainage procedures and special procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Displays thorough knowledge of nursing and departmental protocols.
• Consistently provides appropriate charting and other documentation.
• Consistently demonstrates proper safety and radiation safety practices for self and others.
• Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment.
• Maintains flow of Interventional Recovery Unit.
• Assists other modalities with nursing patient care issues.
• Demonstrates competency working with all age groups.
• Demonstrates competency using the Radiographic Information System.
• Demonstrates competency in Departmental communication (telephone, papers, and intercom).
• Maintains clean and well stocked work area. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience with at least one year in critical care, ER, or PACU experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
