Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse Interventional provides nursing
care for patients in the department which meet basic ADL needs.
Circulates in the department; recognizes physical and emotional
changes in patients' condition and is able to assist with biopsy,
drainage procedures and special procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Displays thorough knowledge of nursing and departmental
protocols.
- Consistently provides appropriate charting and other
documentation.
- Consistently demonstrates proper safety and radiation safety
practices for self and others.
- Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment.
- Maintains flow of Interventional Recovery Unit.
- Assists other modalities with nursing patient care issues.
- Demonstrates competency working with all age groups.
- Demonstrates competency using the Radiographic Information
System.
- Demonstrates competency in Departmental communication
(telephone, papers, and intercom).
- Maintains clean and well stocked work area. EDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience with at least
one year in critical care, ER, or PACU experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the
American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the
American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook, and Windows.
