AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (REQUIRED) ACLS (PREFERRED) ACLS*, AWHONN
Advanced, BLS, NRP Mandatory Experience: RN Antepartum Minimum
experience required-2 years. Screen for less than 2 years or no
experience with C-Sections. SCREEN IF INTERMEDIATE AWHONN ONLY
Float required to Postpartum unit. High Risk Antepartum- 6 weeks to
41 weeks PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, prom,
twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy. Care of fetal demise or
loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother
with baby in NICU, no newborns on this unit. SKILLS Work Setting:
High Risk Antepartum Antepartum Care and Procedures: Assist with
sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC)
Medication & Administration: Anticoagulants, Insulin drips,
Magnesium Sulfate therapy Labor and Delivery Management: Circulate
