Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery assignment at a high-acuity perinatal center, requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong L&D skills. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit specializing in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care - Serves a complex, high-risk patient population as a Level 3 Perinatal center with approximately 150 births per month - Day shifts available with options for either 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules - Patient ratio is 1:1 for laboring patients - Unit includes two operating rooms for C-sections and related procedures - Travelers will float within the hospital as needed but not to sister hospitals - Weekend shifts are required - No call requirements - Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred but not required - Scrubs required, any color acceptable; scrubs provided for OR personnel - Care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patient populations including high-risk and complex cases - Float support and team-oriented environment within the hospital - Orientation includes pre-start modules and on-site training; Epic module completed during orientation - Holiday RTO restrictions: travelers can take 1 of 3 major holidays off and up to 3 additional non-holiday days, specific block-off dates apply - Highly prefers travelers willing to work Christmas - RTO not permitted during orientation week - Locals are accepted at the same rate with no radius requirements Requirements - Active WA or compact RN license or proof of pending license required - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required; 3 years preferred - BLS and NRP certifications required - COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions - Hospital L&D and high-acuity or trauma/teaching hospital experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted - Two references required, at least one supervisory preferred - Former employees must be separated for 18 months before returning as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629552.
