This role is focused on providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic surgical environment. Key Details - Unit: Main OR - Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) - Location: Seattle, WA - Years of Experience Required: 2 years Requirements - Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Preferred - CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) - Preferred - Charting System: Epic - Preferred - Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred - Trauma Level I & II Experience: Preferred - Travel Experience: Not required Skills and Preferences Preferred skills and experience include: - Operating Room settings across various specialties, including Pediatric General, General, Transplant, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Bariatrics, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular. - Robotic surgery experience in areas such as Colorectal, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Neurological, Orthopedic, Otolaryngologic, and Urologic. - Familiarity with specific surgical procedures including, but not limited to: - Appendectomy - Cholecystectomy - Thyroidectomy (partial/total) - Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical) - Abdominoplasty - Vascular procedures Work Environment The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a daily census of 50-60 patients and 21 operating rooms. Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Additional Information - Float Requirements: May float to other ORs at First Hill Campus - Call Requirements: Three weekday and three weekend call shifts every six weeks; call response time is 30 minutes. - Orientation Hours: 40 hours - Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Important Notes Previous permanent staff are not eligible to work as travelers in this unit, regardless of the time elapsed since their prior employment.
