Responsible for day-to-day surgery function for assigned facility,
nurse staff ensuring compliance with the organization’s policies,
procedures, established guidelines, and applicable laws.
Communicate and provide direction to physicians and staff regarding
changes in protocols, forms scheduling, and procedures enacted from
the management level. Demonstrate initiative, insight, and judgment
in all decision-making processes. Provide ACLS and BLS training,
pay for licensure, and uniforms are provided. No evenings or
weekends Responsibilities: Working together with the Surgical
Technician Supervisor for the daily flow of the surgery center
especially the daily schedule (staffing, supplies, sterilization,
templates, etc.). Actively troubleshoot perioperative issues.
Accountability on daily patient-related logs (surgery log, daily
check, fridge temp, ORA, crash cart, specimen). Maintains
appropriate education, certification, licensure, and training.
Responsibilities include interviewing, orienting, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; testing technician competency; rewarding
and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems. Intraoperative Circulator. Administer medications and
treatments. Comply with procedures, regulations, and rules in
maintaining medical records. Perform diagnostic tests on patients
to assess their condition. Discuss treatment with physicians and
pharmacists. Preparation and Maintenance of the Surgical Suites/
ASC. Provide supervision for circulating technicians. Assign tasks
and duties to unlicensed personnel assigned to ASC. Any other
duties as assigned. Requirements: Master the RN competencies,
including: Documentation, Nursing Assessment, Medication
Administration, Injection Safety, Blood Glucose, IV, Cardiac
Rhythm, Latex, Time Out, Conscious Sedation, Aseptic Technique IP,
Environmental Cleaning, Laser Safety, and Equipment Operation.
Knowledge of sterile technique as it applies to operating room
nursing. The proper method of handling instruments, tissue
specimens, cultures, and smears before, during, and after use.
Demonstrate a high degree of management competency, including but
not limited to leadership, collaboration, negotiation,
motivational, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrate excellent
communication skills- demonstrated ability to convey ideas and
information, verbally and in writing. Exhibit initiative and the
ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Education and
Experience: Graduate of a college or university and/or an
accredited school of nursing. Hold a current license from the State
Board of Nursing to practice as a registered nurse. Current BLS is
mandatory, and ACLS is preferred. Two (2) plus years’ operating
room and ASC experience. Current or previous conscious sedation
