Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of
Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. An occupational
therapy position is available in Bothell, WA, supporting the 25/26
school year within a contract role serving school-aged children.
This role includes providing services across two schools, which may
be an elementary and a middle school or two smaller elementary
schools and one middle school. The caseload typically reaches up to
60 students, currently averaging in the mid-50s. It is important to
note that middle school students are usually seen less frequently,
often only once or twice a month, so workload considerations factor
more heavily than daily caseload numbers. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services in school settings, adapting
interventions for elementary and middle school students. Manage a
caseload with up to 60 students, effectively prioritizing and
coordinating therapy schedules. Collaborate with educational and
clinical staff to support student progress within the school
environment. Utilize the support of a Certified Occupational
Therapy Assistant (COTA) for at least 1.5 days per week to enhance
service delivery. Maintain documentation and compliance with
relevant school and healthcare regulations. Qualifications: Valid
Occupational Therapy license, with experience in school-based
settings preferred. Ability to manage a varied caseload including
elementary and middle school students. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills for collaboration with school staff, families,
and students. Familiarity with educational accommodations and
therapy strategies suitable for school-aged children. Schedule and
Workload: 37.5 hours per week during the school year. Caseload and
workload balanced between multiple schools, with flexibility in
serving less frequent middle school cases. This opportunity offers
