This role supports the sales department by performing customer demonstrations, completing test cuts, programming parts and offering applications support. The position is of a customer facing and technical nature and requires interaction with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Technical and Customer Service.OMAX Corporation is a rapidly growing, leading provider of precision-engineered abrasive waterjet systems. The capabilities of our machines consistently evolve to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers.Duties:Program complex, 3-D Cad based 5 and 6-axis programs. Be able to cut precision 2, 3 and 5-axis parts using waterjet technologyComplete customer samples (test cuts), utilizing many different test parametersDesign, source and complete sample parts for marketing that showcase the capabilities of our process and our equipmentDocument and catalog test results, complete customer communications, documentation and reportsDevelop and document techniques and processes for cutting unfamiliar materials, parts and applicationsProvide guidance and training to customers on the capabilities, application specific techniques, and optimization of their OMAX Waterjet System in person and remotelyDesign, fabricate, & assemble prototype fixturing for application specific cuttingKeep a clean and professional work environment. Organize workspace, tools and other items in an exceptionally neat and tidy mannerOccasional travel to trade shows, distributor facilities and customer locationsPerform all other duties as deemed necessary by the department manager or supervisorQualifications:2 year degree or equivalent, plus 2 years' CAD/CAMKnowledge of multiple platforms for 3D designPreferred experience with Rhinoceros or Fusion 360Graphic/Visual Design familiarity is a plusStrong experience with machine tools and modern 3D CAD and CAM systems for multi-axis programmingExcellent verbal, written, communication, and mathematical (geometry and trigonometry) skillsDemonstrated mechanical, machinery, plumbing, & electrical experience/aptitudeKnowledge of measurement and inspection equipment (IE Micrometers, CMM, etc.)Ability to analyze complex information and solve technical problems with minimal supervisionDesire to learn intricate details of complex software and hardware productsDemonstrated ability for creative thinking and a sense of urgencyProficient in all operational aspects of Windows 10Some form of programming knowledge/experience a plusMinimum two (2) years of technical training, additional education or equivalent experience preferredMust have good problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environmentCapable of fast paced multi-taskingExceptional organizational skillsWilling to roll up your sleeves to get wet and dirtyFriendly and upbeat personalityAbility to work under pressureAbility to lift 50 poundsOMAX Corporation offers an excellent compensation package that includes a competitive salary, generous benefits such as: medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401K Plan with company matching, education reimbursement, paid holidays, vacation and sick time.
