Gourmondo Co is a dynamic, growing Seattle-based food business looking to add Sous Chefs to our team!Our Gourmondo team is passionate about quality and seeks to provide fresh flavorful menus, made using locally-sourced ingredients, inspired by our love of great food. Since our beginnings in Seattle s Pike Place Market over 20 years ago, we've grown into a bustling operation comprised of award-winning chefs and expert-level staff serving guests through our catering, box lunch, and caf programs.If you have a love for food, strong leadership skills, and are excited to be part of a growing company- then you may be the perfect fit.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesDaily oversight of production, training, and quality of food.Managing organization of production, kitchen, and food storageMaintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and proper food handling.Trains, develops and evaluates kitchen staff (in the correct use of standard kitchen equipment and tools, techniques and skills).Supervise kitchen personnel to ensure that methods of cooking, garnishes and portion sizes adheres to the menuManage budget, monitor costs and operating needs in keeping with overall containment of unnecessary expenditures.Conducts daily supervision of all walk-in refrigerators, dry storage areas and food lines to ensure rotation, usage, cleanliness and proper sanitationSkills & Qualifications:Minimum 3 years experience as Sous Chef or comparable positionHigh volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirableWell-rounded culinary skillsExcellent communication skillsStrong leadership skills and enjoys working as part of a teamCatering experience a plus, but not requiredBilingual English & Spanish a plus, but not requiredBenefits & Schedule:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance401(k) with matching Paid time offFull-time, regular scheduleMultiple shifts available: Sun-Thu. 3.00 AM-12.00PM OR 10.00AM- 7.00PMWhy Gourmondo?We are a growing local business with a dedication to supporting our community and local non-profit organizations.We believe in fostering an environment of collaboration, transparency, understanding, open communication, fun, and respect.Our team is closely bonded through a love for food and positive working relationships.We embrace diversity and believe it's what makes us great.
