Cook at Alderbrook Resort & Spa, you'll have the opportunity to
work with an exceptional culinary team in a beautiful Pacific
Northwest setting. Our resort's award-winning restaurant is known
for its locally sourced ingredients and innovative menus that
showcase the best of the region's flavors. You'll be responsible
for preparing high-quality dishes that meet our exacting standards,
while collaborating with the culinary team to develop new and
exciting menu items.Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry,
vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens,
grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipmentKeeps a
clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves,
grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saut-- burners, convection
oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipmentPortions food
products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and
recipe specificationsFollows proper plate presentation and garnish

be 18 years of age or older, required2+ years of experience in a
commercial kitchen, requiredBasic knife skills, recipe
understanding, and a highly developed sense of tasteValid WA Food
Handlers Card - required within 14 days after hireEducation in
Culinary Arts, a plus.Weekend availability, requiredSuccessful

productions sheets, etc.; measures, portions or otherwise prepares
beverages an food with great precision and efficiency. Experienced
in both European and American regional cuisine. Knowledge of recipe
development in areas of daily specials, cross utilization of
product and current food trends. Knowledge of all current local and
state regulations of food handling, sanitation codes and storage
procedures.Interpersonal: Demonstrates flexibility and a
willingness to accept change, new procedures and constructive
comments; ability to work/communicate effectively verbally and
non-verbally with multiple operating departments. Able to speak and
write English.Work habits: Ability to work independently,
autonomously and without supervision, while also able to follow
written and verbal instructions when necessary. Able to work long
hours and overtime if necessary. Team-oriented. Able to cope with
varied and fast-paced activities; meets sanitation, food handling,
