Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our small team in the Seattle area. Our company works closely with health care clients in multiple states providing exceptional service in all areas of accounting, payroll and human resource functions. The Human Resources Generalist is a hands-on, collaborative representative of the Human Resources department whose job is to help facilitate HR practices and objectives throughout the organization. The HR Generalist strives for innovative ways to improve the efficiency of daily administration and overall operations of the Human Resources function. The primary responsibilities of this position are: Leads the process in onboarding new staff from point of preemployment screenings forward; ensuring paperwork, I9 compliance, ADP registration, photo ID process, all HR related processes are handled efficiently and properly by field administrative assistants. Maintains electronic employee files as necessary. Maintains HRIS - Workforce Now credibility, ensuring accuracy and functionality at all times. Including entry of all employee related data including job changes, pay increases, new hires, terminations, and allocations. Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401k Retirement Savings Plan, PTO and ESL leave, leave of absences, and others. Work closely with Director of Human Resources and benefit broker during open enrollment periods to ensure successful communications with employees. Manages enrollment of employee benefits via WorkForce Now either by own entry or generating reports to facilitate third party communications. Audits and submit benefit invoice for payment monthly. Files and tracks worker's compensation claims, maintains files, and prepares reports for management. Prepare and maintain leave of absence folders including FMLA Notification and compliance documents. Respond to leave request and disability claim documentation. Generates routine reports and designs custom reports via ADP as requested. Maintains employee portal by posting company announcements, forms, benefit information, job descriptions and messages to employees. Maintains and update Human Resources documents such as organizational charts, employee handbooks, performance evaluation forms, directories. Assists with annual performance evaluation process. Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Completes Verifications of Employment Responds to state requests for separation information relative to unemployment claims. Assists with the preparation of training programs and meetings, completing all associated administration, e.g. handouts, invitations, certificates, power point presentations Participates in audits as required. Works closely with the Director of Human Resources on special projects. *Please note that this is not an all-inclusive list of the responsibilities of the position. Qualifications & Requirements to be successful: Associates Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. 4-5 years experience in similar Human Resource position required. Previous experience working with healthcare professionals preferred. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now required. Competency in benefit administration. Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. Strong customer service orientation. Strong computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems with ease Strong organizational and time management discipline. Ability to multi-task with a proven ability to meet deadlines and operate effectively in stressful situations.
