Overview:
Supervise the inpatient Unit & Staffing Coordinators, Unit
Coordinators and Unit Coordinator Assistants in day-to-day
inpatient operations to ensure the maintenance of an organized,
family-centered patient care environment. Trained to support daily
staffing and time management for the Unit & Staffing Coordinators.
Additionally trained to oversee and coordinate daily staffing needs
for the inpatient nursing units and unit coordinator department,
which includes but is not limited to, staff schedule changes, sick
calls, replacement staffing, and data entry into Seattle Children's
time management system, etc. Oversee coordination of the flow of
information about patient care and unit operations. Provide
outstanding customer service to families and visitors, and oversee
visitor and infection control screening processes for everyone
entering the inpatient units.
Requirements:
Required Education/Experience: - Associate's Degree or at least two
(2) completed academic years coursework in Business, Liberal Arts,
or Nursing. - Minimum of three (3) years related work experience
with progressive responsibilities in leadership roles, process
improvement work or project management leading up to or including
demonstrated readiness for direct supervision. - Customer service
experience. - Must be available to work weekends/evenings as
needed. Preferred Education/Experience: - BA/BS in Business,
Healthcare, or related field. - Two or more years of supervisory
experience. - Experience working in unit coordinator, staffing,
admitting, or registration departments of a hospital or medical
center. - Experience working in an academic medical setting. -
Experience managing culturally diverse groups of staff. -In
accordance with new Washington law for healthcare workers, Seattle
Children's requires that all staff be fully vaccinated against
COVID-19 on or before October 18, 2021, or before beginning
employment for start dates after October 18th.
