The Manager, HR Business Partner is a strategic, client facing leader that will guide a team of HR Business Partners and work closely with employees at all levels. We are a HRBP team that provides information, guidance, consultation, and facilitates the delivery of HR services. As a Manager, HRBP with Fred Hutch you will be responsible for:
Leading HRBPs
As a Manager, HR Business Partner you will provide leadership to a team of HRBPs. - Your skills as leader will support, guide, mentor, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver a high level of HR support. - You will establish yourself as a trusted partner and provide strong and visible HR leadership presence with executives, people managers and employees.
Strategic Consulting and Employee Experience
As a Manager, Business Partner you will utilize your experience to support your assigned client group to align HR programs with organizational strategy, in addition to supporting and guiding your team. You will use your consultation skills to guide and support leaders to bring the best experience and solutions to employees. While actively identifying opportunities; proposing and implementing changes to mitigate risks.
Employee Relations
As a trusted advisor to employees and leadership you will support the employee experience by ensuring that your team understands our policies and practices and provides tailored solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client population. This role will advance the organization's commitment to maintaining a diverse, fair and inclusive work environment built on mutual respect and integrity. Often times you will be leading training, facilitating sensitive conversations, and making recommendations for an optimal employee experience.
Organizational Design
As part of our growing and evolving organization you will guide, mentor and partner with management to advise on change implications and people impacts of organizational programs and initiatives. -
As a Manager, Business Partner you will lead internal HR projects and client initiatives.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8 - 10 years related HR experience including experience as an HRBP
  • Experience in an a clinical or hospital environment preferred
  • 5 years direct people management
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources and knowledge of relevant labor and employment law
  • Experience driving action through influence without authority
  • Experience in navigating and operating in ambiguous situations
  • Experience with DEI initiatives
  • WorkDay experience preferred

    In addition to job duties at Fred Hutch, this position also requires access to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, which requires COVID-19 vaccination without exceptions.
