At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health you will find the safest and highest quality of care provided by our expert, compassionate medical care team at 11 hospitals and nearly 300 sites throughout the greater Puget Sound region.ResponsibilitiesThis position supports the general accounting mission of the department through the accurate and timely processing of the Medical Center's payroll-related disbursement to include employee salaries, all deductions, and payroll-related taxes. Additionally, the position serves as a resource for employer and employee payroll-related information requests and is responsible for the accurate maintenance of all general ledger accounts related to payroll transactions.QualificationsWe require:Knowledge of financial accounting theory, a thorough understanding of payroll procedures and tax laws and regulations at federal, state and local levels.Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as computer literacy with specific knowledge of spreadsheet applications.Preferred:High school diploma or GED.We're proud to share that Virginia Mason Medical Center was recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report.
