The Seattle office is located in the beautiful Fremont neighborhood across from the Burke Gilman Trail and the Lake Washington Ship Canal. The Human Resource Coordinator will provide support and assistance throughout all areas of the HR Department, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. In addition, this position will support the Executive Assistant to the President of Shannon & Wilson.



Job Responsibilities


  • Assists HR department in carrying out a variety of human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Performs routine filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance.
  • Coordinates meetings, events, and activities with the HR Department staff
  • Assists in benefits data administration to include activation and termination in various third-party systems
  • Updates HR and leadership team on current employee count, terminations, new hires, and creates other reports and metrics as needed.
  • Tracks evaluation progress and provides reminders and assistance completing documents.
  • Assist recruiters in posting job ads on career pages and processing received resumes.
  • Conducting or helping with new employee orientation, and on-boarding.
  • Contacting references and performing background checks as needed.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Executive Assistant to include filing all contracts, registrations, collection letters, and master service agreements.
  • Responsible for set-up and clean-up for Board/Office Manager meetings.
  • Help to coordinate logistics for companywide trainings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Follow Shannon & Wilsons Quality Assurance policy.
  • Follow and promote Shannon and Wilsons Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
    Qualifications Job Qualifications


    • Bachelor degree preferred or combination of relevant experience and high school diploma.
    • 2 plus years of prior experience.
    • Experience obtaining knowledge of principles and practices of human resources is required.
    • Experience with HRIS database is preferred.
    • Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Enthusiastic collaborator willing to partner with others in HR, in numerous locations, and with varying departments to achieve results together.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Good ethical judgment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

        The entry level HR Coordinator will be hired in as an Office Services Level I, II, III, or IV and the salary range is $20-$30/hour. The starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition to base pay, all employees are also eligible for an annual year-end discretionary bonus. If an employee is exempt, they are eligible to accrue comp time in hours excess of 40 each week.
