Job Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) works hand in hand with HR/TMS (Team Member Services) COEs and Store Operations to achieve optimal people results in the areas of Talent Development, Succession Planning, Training, and TM Engagement with the objectives to increase retention and maintain optimal staffing levels for key store-based positions. The HRBP uses data to identify trends to make proactive recommendations that support operational and strategic TMS objectives. The HRBP triages day-to-day matters brought to their attention and for those matters for which the HRBP is able, provides practical advice and guidance. For other matters, The HRBP routes those to the appropriate party or COE. The HRBP works with leadership to adapt and apply TMS initiatives and programs in a manner that supports local business needs. The role serves as the client face of TMS, acting as an interface and liaison with TMS COE groups (including Recruiting, Talent Management, TMRI, Total Rewards and TMS Operations). You may also occasionally support COEs with local responsibilities related to compliance with company policies, government regulations, and statutory requirements.This position will support approximately 4-5 stores. You are expected to work four (4) days per week in the stores with the fifth day being flexible to work remotely.Please note that this role is based in Seattle, WA and will require frequent travel to the area's stores.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • High degree of responsibility and/or leads one or more of the TMS programs or projects.
  • Responsible for coaching and developing IC4 level TMS Business Partners to become proficient as an IC5 level business partner.
  • Routinely analyzes TMS metrics and trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations to ensure a well-staffed, healthy environment for our Team Members, Leaders, and Customers.
  • Supports assigned organizations through provision of and or advice relating to various TMS programs and processes including:
    • Performance Management, Talent Assessment, and Team Member Development
    • Leader Development
    • Succession and Attrition Planning
    • Recruiting and Staffing
    • Total Rewards
    • Diversity and inclusion
    • Recognition
    • Responsible for engaging and consulting with operational or functional leaders on talent, leadership, people strategy, organizational development, rewards, and culture.
    • Supports Team Members' communication, education, and advice on all TMS programs and systems.
    • Supports bi-annual TM Connections to identify areas of opportunity and strengths for each location.
    • Provides excellent customer service to all Team Members through either direct support or by directing TMs and Leaders to the appropriate resources.
    • Recommends system and process improvements for related TMS functions.
    • Partners with Global TMS teams on special projects and assignments
    • Provides local support for global programs, rollouts, and initiatives.
    • Supports client understanding and compliance with applicable company policies and practices.Skills/RequirementsEducation and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree and 2-4+ years of relevant HR experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
      • Retail experience preferred
      • Multi-unit experience preferredProfessional Knowledge:
        • Demonstrated ability to support leaders in building and maintaining effective retail teams.
        • Strong understanding of Human Resources concepts, practices, programs, and methodologies
        • Understands company Human Resources policies, practices, and expectations.
        • Understands and is able to apply parameters of labor issues including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and Leave of Absence to effectively route related matters to the appropriate COE.
        • Working knowledge of HRMS systems and programs
        • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local human resources regulations and how these are applied within WFM.
        • Knowledge of how people go through organizational change, change processes, change management best practice principles, methodologies, and tools.
        • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Kronos, Workday, and other HRIS.Relationship Management:
          • Builds engaging relationships with stakeholders through trust, teamwork, and direct communication.
          • Tailors communication approach to specific situations and audiences.
          • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
          • Mediates difficult interactions; escalates problems as appropriate.
