Boeing is looking for an Associate Airborne Software Engineer based
out of Everett or Renton, Washington .
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be
required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location
Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of
architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into
a fully functional software system.
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure
software system requirements are met.
Supports software project management and software supplier
Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes
Performs software research and trade studies.
Troubleshoots software issues.
Works under general supervision.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is
required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited
course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics, chemistry or related technical degree.
2+ years of engineering experience or a masters degree
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in software development, verification or compliance
finding activities to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Experience in RTCA DO-178 Software Considerations in Airborne
Systems and Equipment Certification.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, computer engineering (e.g. Bachelor) and
typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In
the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
