we---d love to talk to you ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior/Principal
Software Engineer on the Computer Vision team at Audere, you will
write the code that integrates state-of-the-art computer vision
models into mobile applications that patients and community health
workers use to interpret rapid diagnostic tests. You---ll build a
cross-platform pipeline that takes a user---s picture of a test,
routes it through multiple analysis, transformation, and CV
inference steps, and ultimately determines the test result.
You---ll work with PyTorch and TensorFlow, write native mobile code
and some React Native code. You---ll partner closely with ML
scientists, other engineers, product managers and designers to
create fast, robust, and accurate computer vision experiences that
affect the health outcomes of real people. Responsibilities
include: Write code for mobile applications in C++, Swift, Java,
and JavaScript, using the PyTorch, TensorFlow, and React Native
frameworks. Collaborate with ML scientists and front-end engineers
to design pipelines that integrate well with the CV models and
application code. Design and implement image analysis and
transformation algorithms. Proactively suggest and drive new
research directions for yourself and the team. Deeply understand
and build empathy for users of Audere products. Champion product
quality, excellence in execution, and privacy and regulatory
compliance. Continuously assess opportunities for improvement by
analyzing product performance in production, competitive offerings,
user needs, and technological trends. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS
degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent
practical experience. Lack of a degree is fine if you have
significant software engineering experience. 5 years of software
engineering experience. Experience with artificial intelligence,
machine learning, and/or computer vision products preferred.
Experience with developing medical devices, point-of-care
diagnostics, or medical imaging products in a customer-focused
organization is a plus. Proactive self-starter with ability to
operate in an ambiguous environment. Experience working with a
distributed team with diverse ideas, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Willingness to learn and a desire to grow in a mission-driven
start-up organization. Able to work in the US (does not need visa
