Job Description
Puget Sound Energy (PSE), the largest energy utility in Washington, is seeking to fill an IT Architect position focused on SAP solution and capabilities. This position is part of IT Architecture team part of IT organization.

This role works across PSE in a dynamic environment researching and providing solutions harnessing SAP technology platform's capabilities. SAP Solution architect plays an integral role in defining and assessing organization's SAP architecture practice. They will help interpret business and technology drivers and develop practical roadmaps to optimize PSE's SAP technology investments. Will be flexible with changing situations while working with various groups.

Job Responsibilities

  • Technical experience leading solutions for SAP ECC, SAP HANA migration and upgrade, SAP SaaS solutions, SAP Cloud Platform and various SAP modules such as Finance
  • Create solutions, strategies and maturity roadmaps for SAP platforms such SAP Ariba, Success Factor, S/4HANA and related data migration, SAP Fiori platform, SAP Cloud Platform
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to executive leadership on a range of SAP best practice architectures, solutions and technologies.
  • Develop, document and manage IT SAP architecture technology standards, frameworks, patterns, reference model and roadmaps associated with SAP Platform.
  • Lead and drive a cross IT teams in the development of SAP capability roadmap
  • Ensure architectures, technologies and solutions align with PSE's current IT standards
  • Develop solutions that integrate with SAP and non-SAP systems
  • Effectively build influential partnering relationships up, down, and across the PSE organization.
  • Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendation and gather team consensus to solve SAP platform problems.
  • Have strong knowledge of how SAP S/4 HANA scenarios fit into the larger scheme of PSE's transformation and how to put that into action. Leverage Enterprise Architecture for SAP S/4HANA transformation.
  • Passion for optimizing existing investments in SAP technologies.
  • Develop partners indirectly through coaching and mentoring on SAP architecture, best practices, frameworks, patterns and standards.
  • Responsible for research and evaluation of new SAP technologies.
  • Operate under minimal direction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
    • 12 years of directly relevant IT architecture experience.
    • 8 years of experience working in large-scale, heterogeneous IT environments.
    • Ability to translate short- and long-range strategic plans for architecture into design and implementation of current and future applications.
    • Has deep technical expertise in one or two technology domains, and broad understanding of how that technology supports Line of Business functions to deliver business value.
    • Has the ability to influence with credibility across business functions or technologies with analysis (based on prior experience).
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral/presentation and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical language.
    • Strong leadership, project and team building skills - ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives by working effectively with others with a demonstrated ability to work cross-departmentally.
    • Strong collaborator - willingness to share ideas, documentation and best practices. * Conceptual and analytical thinker - ability to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.

      Desired Qualifications

      • MS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
      • Practical experience with NERC CIP, SOX, FERC and other utilities regulations.
      • Experience in using architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, Zachman.
      • Demonstrate a bias for action and apply iterative thinking and approach.
      • Current on SAP technologies and certifications.
      • Familiar with Agile Practices

        The pay range for this position is$122,300.00 -$216,400.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
