seeking a Mid-Level Software Development Engineer to join the Cabin
Experience Network team located in Everett, WA. This position will
focus on supporting the BCA business organization.The Mid-Level
Software Development Engineer will design and develop our
next-generation cloud-based and airborne digital backbone systems.
The Mid-Level Software Development Engineer will be responsible for
designing the system for scalable, configurable, reliable, secure,
and well-integrated with build and deploy tools. This role will
play a critical role in shaping the direction of our technologies
and ensuring that our systems meet the needs of our airline
customers. You will also be responsible for implementing the
software architecture, integrate our software with other systems
that meets the quality standards of the company and industry. You
will contribute to brainstorming sessions to gather requirements;
develop strategies for end-to-end process improvement of
performance and quality; In addition, you will be responsible for
ensuring the security of the software architecture meets Boeing

Responsibilities:
- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements,
algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components
into a fully functional software system.
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test
environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test
results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Performs software project management and software supplier
management functions.
- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes,
tools and metrics.
- Executes and documents software research and development
projects.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains,
system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to
ensure product and process conformance to project plans and
industry standards.
- Works under general direction.This position is expected to be
100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be required to work
onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet
Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as
defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US
Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software
Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other
technical degree
- 1+ years of experience leading software development
projects
- 2+ years of experience in developing/packing/deploying Software
Development Kit (SDK), App Store deployment concept
- 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture
- 5+ years of experience with software development using either
Java, C++, or PythonPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and
Azure
- Experience with DevOps tools and processes
- Knowledge of the DO-178C (or equivalent) lifecycle is a
plus
- 2+ years of working in a Linux/Unix or Ubuntu environment
- 5+ years of experience developing, documenting and maintaining
architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for
software systems
- 1+ years of experience in over-the-air software update
conceptTypical Education/Experience: - Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'
related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Travel:Up
to 10%Relocation: This position offers relocation based on
