The Role:
Moderna is expanding our footprint to Seattle to further our
mission of delivering the greatest possible impact to people
through mRNA medicines! Our new technology hub in Seattle will
focus on software product development for our Commercial, Data &
Machine Learning, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering
Excellence (dev tools) products and platforms.
To help support this rapid build and stand up, we are searching for
an experienced and innovative HR Business Partner to spearhead the
talent and organizational strategy for this new Moderna Technology
Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to join and support the growth
of our technology capabilities and establish Modernas presence in
Seattle and the companys expansion into the West Coast. This is one
of the most critical and strategic business undertakings for
Moderna in the upcoming year. Enjoying autonomy and leading the HR
chapter while supporting a full spectrum of activities across the
employee lifecycle this broad HR Business Partner role is operating
in a greenfield/start-up and rapidly expanding environment
underpinned by anticipated significant company growth.
It is a visible and high-impact role, key to supporting the
strategic talent acquisition and onboarding of consecutive team
members and mission-critical talent, while providing HR governance
and alignment of the talent strategy with Modernas expansion goals.
This role will serve as an extension of headquarters in Cambridge,
MA, acting as a trusted advisor and partner to both the CHRO and
CIO, assessing organizational and people needs, driving the HR
function with vision and energy, leveraging best practice tools and
pragmatic approaches for optimum business results. This role will
also serve as the key leader within the Seattle office throughout
the build stages.
This role will be based in our SLU-area Seattle office and offers
flexibility to work anywhere 30% of the time. Candidates must be
based in, or willing to relocate to, the greater Seattle area.
Given our high level of collaboration and fast pace, this role is
not able to be remote. In addition, this role will travel to the
east coast occasionally in order to collaborate with the
Cambridge-based team.
