Job Responsibilities:
- Works with Client's Curriculum Managers and other trainers to
identify specific business needs and to propose training
solutions.
- Assess the needs of target audiences.
- Designs, develops, writes and maintains courseware with primary
development in e-learning authoring tools to create interactive and
engaging content. This includes videos, quizzes, simulations, and
more.
- Design and develop supporting materials including slides,
handouts, lab instructions, and lab solutions for courses that
emphasize the tasks necessary to perform duties.
- Has experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and
external technical trainers to present or incorporate their
expertise into various types of training.
- Has experience researching technology related information.
- Maintains awareness of external seminars and training plus
literature on available programs.
- 3-5 years work related experience required.
- Experience in instructional design, including needs assessment,
learner, context, and task analyses.
- Experience in developing learning-centered, performance-based
learning programs for many different audiences in different
environments.
- Broad experience developing and delivering e-learning
programs.
- Extensive experience in technical communications (writing and
editing).
- Experience working with clients, subject matter experts, and
development team members to create learning programs that fit
client needs.
- MS Office experience required.
- Extensive experience working in multimedia tools to include
Articulate Storyline and Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite to create
e-learning solutions.
- Experience with AI platforms and 3D modeling is preferred.
- May require knowledge or experience with one or more major
technologies such as database design and development, networking,
client server applications, security, multimedia, etc.
- Must have strong communication skills, initiative and
independence researching course needs of the target audience.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies
preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in related field and Master's or other formal
education in Instructional Design preferred.Top Skills:--- Advanced

develop sophisticated learning interactions and visual elements
within Articulate Storyline Demo simulation--- Proficient with
developing within Articulate Rise 360--- Experience creating with
AI learning solutions and 3-D models--- Deep understanding of Adobe
PremierPro with some animation experience--- Deep understanding of
core systems of branching within Articulate Storyline--- Advanced
knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite--- Experience working with media
such as video and video editing--- Experience working with
multi-media and interactive elements--- Strong ability to
trouble-shoot technology--- Experience with PPT, word,
excelBonus:--- PowerBI experience--- Experience developing training
deployments with responsive design/mobile learning platforms such
as Articulate StorylineSummary:The main function of a Technical
Instructional Designer is to write technical materials, such as
equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance
instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for
organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and
files.Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
such as computer science or English, journalism, communications---
2-4 years experience required--- Experience in creating
documentation for a technical audience--- Excellent writing,
editing, and communication skills--- Ability to read some
programming code--- Critical thinking and problem-solving
skillsInterface with clients, as required, on technical matters
and/or project subject matters from project initiation through
delivery. Provide program/project schedules and status reports.
Create the functional specification, requirements and/or scope that
will be used as a tool in making decisions as to how the product,
service and/or project will be implemented. Provide technical
and/or analytical information to Product Managers, as required.
Organize cross-functional activities ensuring that the program is
completed on schedule and within budget constraints. May
manage/oversee project.The target hiring compensation range for
this role is $47.81 to $53.12 an hour. Compensation is based on
several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant
work experience, relevant certifications, and location.Client
