SummaryAs a Lead Software Engineer, you will drive initiatives to
simplify and streamline services within the Identity organization.
You will make key technical and architectural decisions, influence
the team's roadmap, and collaborate with peers across Product,
Program Management, and Engineering.You will be part of a dynamic,
inclusive engineering environment grounded in agile practices,
CI/CD, and collaboration, committed to quality and continuous
learning.About Identity EngineeringOur team delivers Consumer
Identity and Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across Disney,
including D+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Parks. We build and operate
high-traffic, globally distributed systems integral to every Disney
user journey.The Identity Platform Consolidation squad ensures that
consumer-facing APIs are stable, performant, and secure,
collaborating across Disney to develop improved
solutions.Responsibilities
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or
equivalent work experience.
- Have at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support
of stateful microservices and lambdas in a multi-region cloud
environment.
- Support and promote Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and
Scrumban, leading ceremonies as needed.
- Mentor engineers to enhance their technical skills and
professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand
requirements and communicate technical decisions effectively.Basic
Qualifications
- Experience with at least one JVM language: Java, Scala, or
Kotlin.
- Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or
Azure.Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Scala and frameworks like Cats, ZIO, http4s.
- Experience with OOP and FP practices.
- Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and infrastructure as
code.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.Additional InformationThe
salary range varies by location, with specific figures provided for
New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Santa Monica. Compensation
includes base salary, bonuses, incentives, and benefits, adjusted
