We are looking for a self-motivated, high-energy individual with excellent communication skills, willing to question assumptions, take end-to-end ownership of features, and drive them to completion. Candidates should have experience developing large-scale server-side systems using object-oriented languages and will also assist in building AI/ML workflows and integrating them into applications and features. Prior knowledge in all areas is not necessary; eagerness to learn is essential. • At least 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable backend systems and web services
• Strong hands-on experience with multithreading, networking (including non-blocking I/O), HTTP, and REST APIs
• Proficiency with SQL databases like Oracle and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data/metadata management, and scalability challenges in distributed systems
• Advocate for performance optimization, automation, and comprehensive unit testing
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Excellent debugging, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experiencePreferred Qualifications
  • Passion and prior experience in designing and implementing large distributed systems
  • Experience with ML and/or LLMs in developing useful features and toolsAt Apple, base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The pay range for this role is $135,400 to $250,600.
