As an Oracle database administrator who specializes in SQL and Oracle, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting our Navy client. On our team, you’ll work independently and as part of a team that constantly looks for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization, perform backup and recovery, and configure database parameters. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you contribute to policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in mission-critical databases. You Have: 3 years of experience performing fresh installations of Oracle Database on various operating systems 3 years of experience configuring database parameters, memory structures 3 years of experience developing and implementing robust backup strategies 3 years of experience monitoring database performance using tools such as AWR, ADDM, ASH, and OEM 3 years of experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks 3 years of experience configuring and managing Oracle Advanced Security options and Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and high availability 3 years of experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments, including command-line Secret clearance HS diploma or GED CompTIA Security Certification Nice If You Have: 3 years of experience collaborating with developers on schema design, object creation Experience in SQL and PL for database management, scripting, and troubleshooting Experience in maintaining comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and security postures Ability to be analytical and problem-solve in order to diagnose and resolve complex database, application, network, and system issues under pressure Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with technical teams, management, and customers Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
