Amazon's Immigration team is looking for a smart, passionate
candidate to manage critical immigration workstreams and consult on
service development for the U.S. immigration organization. Our team
is a group of experienced immigration subject matter experts who
act as strategic partners and consultants to immigration-sponsored
employees, business leaders and partner teams. The team centrally
manages immigration filings, the vendors that support Amazon, and
delivers projects to improve cost, quality, policy, compliance, and
experience for immigration services at Amazon. Key job
responsibilities Workstream Management and Compliance Oversight: •
Lead labor market testing compliance for immigration programs,
ensuring adherence to Department of Labor regulations and managing
high-volume applicant screening activities • Provide immigration
subject matter expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams
through regular compliance calls and ongoing consultation • Serve
as primary resolver for program-related escalations, ensuring
timely resolution and stakeholder satisfaction • Develop and
maintain compliance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and
training materials Project Delivery and Strategic Planning: •
Define strategy and develop implementation plans to drive new
service launches and expansion of existing services, partnering
with tech, service, and strategic teams • Manage portfolio of
cross-functional projects, developing key artifacts such as
charters, schedules, risk logs, status reports, and lessons learned
documentation • Provide forward-looking strategic plans that
outline roadmaps to reach both near-term and long-term program
goals • Define technical requirements needed to support program
plans and build business justification for features or enhancements
Innovation and Process Improvement: • Lead automation and
efficiency initiatives to improve operational scalability •
Implement strategies to balance technology with human interaction
to preserve and improve the customer experience while services
expand in scope and scale • Monitor program metrics and identify
opportunities for continuous process improvement • Lead improvement
of processes related to launching new services or expanding
existing services Stakeholder Management and Communication: •
Define and execute communication and change management strategies
with related artifacts for program goals and projects • Manage and
drive delivery of regular progress updates for projects and goals
to partners, stakeholders, and leadership • Provide tailored
communications and education to employees, managers, and
stakeholders on immigration requirements, timelines, and process
changes • Partner with cross-functional teams including Recruiting,
Technology, HRBPs, and external immigration service providers
Regulatory Monitoring and Adaptation: • Stay updated on regulatory
changes by monitoring relevant portals, publications, and
notifications • Escalate issues and challenges that impact project
delivery and/or customer experience timely • Review project impact
and readjust based on new regulations; oversee change management •
Continually update immigration resources (FAQs, intranet content,
communications) to promote self-service A day in the life In this
role you will be responsible for defining, managing, and delivering
immigration programs and projects from conception through to
completion. A key focus area is overseeing labor market testing
compliance for the PERM Labor Certification program, the critical
first stage in the US green card process. This role requires
immigration subject matter expertise to ensure Department of Labor
compliance while managing high-volume operational activities. You
will serve as a compliance advisor and operational workstream
manager, working cross-functionally to maintain operational
excellence while driving automation and process improvement
initiatives. The Immigration Specialist role is responsible for
ensuring Amazon timely and successfully responds to Fraud Detection
and National Security (FDNS) site visits as well as for audits and
requests related to Department of Labor mandated Public Access
Files (PAFs) or Labor Certification Audit Files. This will require
the individual to engage with leadership of corporate office front
desk staff, four separate security organizations, as well as a
talent acquisition team to ensure continual response training and
compliant document retention practices are followed. The
Immigration Specialist will also own all documentation, protocols,
and SOPs related to government visits and audits, including
continuous improvement of these areas. This role will lead cross
functional teams in conducing mock audits and quality assurance
audits to ensure that all document retention obligations are met. -
Bachelor's degree or equivalent - - 6 years of experience working
in a high-volume corporate immigration environment, either a
company with a large immigration program or a law firm specializing
in full-service business immigration, working with high-volume
clients. - Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts - - JD or
Master’s degree in related field (such as HR, MBA) - - 8-10 years
of overall experience either within a law firm (such as a
supervising paralegal or managing attorney with responsibility for
immigration petition preparation/filings) or in-house in an
organization with a significant volume of work and process
optimization - - Successful record of building, improving, and
running operational business processes, ability to drive program
effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction - -
Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, assuming
leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances – solid
sense of accountability and sound personal judgment - - Excellent
written and verbal communications - ability to interface with all

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
