Job Description:

Position Description The Corporate Engagement Director will play a key role in building on a strong trajectory of growth in corporate engagement and support for Mary s Place. This front-line fundraiser will be responsible for securing support from local, state and national businesses and corporations through event sponsorships, corporate philanthropy, workplace giving, employee volunteering, and other opportunities. Primary responsibilities include building relationships with current and prospective corporate partners; conducting research and developing strategies and proposals that align with their specific interests and priorities; soliciting and securing funding, and ensuring proper recognition and stewardship. The person in this position will regularly communicate and collaborate with the Chief Development Officer, Executive Director, key volunteers and others on corporate strategy and outreach. The Corporate Engagement Director reports to the Chief Development Officer and is part of a fast-paced development team responsible for securing over $14 million annually, primarily via private support. This position will manage a portfolio of current and prospective corporate partners with a focus on delivering effective communication and engagement opportunities that build our relationships with them and lead to investment in the work and mission of Mary s Place. The ideal candidate for this position will have significant experience building high-touch, long-term relationships with corporate and other funders as well as demonstrated success soliciting and securing support from them. Key Responsibilities Work with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement a corporate business strategy that supports the entire organization through financial support, volunteer opportunities, in-kind contributions, and other strategic partnerships Manage a portfolio of 125-150 corporate supporters and prospects. the pipeline for corporate support by identifying, researching and engaging local, regional and national organizations Develop strategy and timeline for corporate relationship developme solicitation, and implementation, coordinating with executive staff and key volunteers as needed Identify and build personal relationships with our primary contact each organization. Conduct meetings, prepare materials and proposals, make the solicitation, and complete necessary follow-up to advance the conversation and secure support Ensure that sponsorships are fulfilled appropriately and that all sponsors and corporate partners are appropriately recognized and stewarded Responsible for soliciting and securing corporate partnerships, an otherwise supporting the campaign chair, in oversight and project management of the No Child Sleeps Outside year-end annual fundraising campaign Responsible for soliciting and securing corporate sponsorships for annual Gala and other organizational fundraising events throughout the year Coordinate with grant writer on development and writing of corpora foundation proposals and solicitation materials Develop assets and identify new creative opportunities to add valu partners and deepen corporate engagement, including gratitude and recognition programs Collaborate with the Strategic Events Manager to develop sponsorsh packages for signature Mary s Place events Coordinate with Communications team to develop collateral and supp corporate partnerships through social media support and other platform opportunities Be accountable to personal goals, strategies, and metrics, partici in ongoing and regular assessment of progress toward goals Represent Mary s Place at events, and support the Development with other projects as needed Skills/Qualifications Required Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience and minimum of fiv of fundraising experience, with at least three years focused on corporate giving and relationships. Prior experience leading annual corporate fundraising of over $5M annually is preferred. Proven track record in securing significant corporate sponsorships contributions, and renewing and increasing partner investment over time. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the a to interact and communicate clearly and effectively with both domestic and international audiences and colleagues. Proven ability to rapidly draft clear, concise, and culturally aware business correspondence. Working knowledge of marketing and public relations and their implications for and relationship to philanthropy. Ability to think strategically, multi-task, prioritize, respond promptly, and meet deadlines and performance goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database software (exper with Raiser s Edge/NXT software a plus). Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed, inc occasional evenings and weekends. Highly motivated, resourceful, flexible, and possesses a positive attitude and sense of humor Ability to interact effectively with volunteers and co-workers of levels, as well as with representatives of other organizations and institutions Exhibits compassion and empathy; works well with men, women and ch from all ethnic, social, economic and sexual orientation backgrounds Must have valid driver s license, reliable access to a car, a of car insurance Compensation This is a full-time, exempt position requiring long hours, as well as evening and weekend work. The salary is $70,000 to $85,000 annually, DOE. In addition, Mary's Place offers the following benefits to full-time staff: Medical and dental insurance with the cost for core employee cover paid at 100% by the company and very competitive family rates Unlimited use ORCA pass for just $3.50 per pay period 10 days paid time off (PTO) each calendar year (accrued by pay per 10 days of sick time each calendar year (accrued by pay period) 9 paid holidays (8 designated company holidays and 1 day of choice Employee Assistance Program Short and long term disability insurance How to Apply Applications accepted until the position is filled.
