The Chief of Staff, Modern Work , will support the Microsoft
Consulting Services (MCS) Leader, in executing the organization
mission to "Create a Consulting team focused on: ‘Make the Market’
to drive production level consumption with Enterprise customers
through Digital Transformation and Modernization". MCS’s role is to
take the innovations of Microsoft platform and product groups and
translate them into transformational outcomes for our customers’
businesses. MCS is in the forefront of Digital Transformation with
customers by bringing the integrated value of Azure Cloud & AI,
Modern Work Cloud (M365) and Business Applications Cloud (Dynamics
365). Modern Work Domain is responsible for customers’ work and
workforce transformation through the M365 portfolio of offerings.
The work MCS does often becomes key industry references for
customers and partners to follow and this makes the market for
Microsoft. While ensuring that we execute the business in a
compliant manner, COS will be a role model of expected behaviors
and drive accountability, responsibility and learning through every
level in the organization.
The Chief of Staff will hold the Leadership team accountable to
deliver on their financial commitments within the Consulting
Operating Model, establish controls to optimize consumption
revenue, Cost of Consumption, and MCS Billing within our
organization. This will be accomplished by being a change leader
and an empathetic crafter of culture.

Prioritize landing FY21 Organizational and Operating Model
changes and drive adoption within our organization.
Coordinate/Orchestrate Strategic Planning Process and Business
Rhythm of the Business (ROB). Engage with Time Zone leaders and
central MCS functions to drive timely actions.
Employee Engagement and People Management; Support leadership as
they Attract, Retain and Develop employees in a highly competitive
Communications - create sustained, pervasive connections and
conversations across our organization to deliver better employee
experience and organizational performance.
Be an active Change Agent, an empathetic crafter of culture for
your leader and organization.
Embodying Microsoft Leadership Principles (Creating clarity,
generating energy, and delivering results).
Evolve the Consulting Business role and perception across One
Microsoft approach from planning to execution with alignment of
investment and resources across all Enterprise stakeholders (EC,
CSU, STU, CSE, M&O).
Champion Services Consumption efforts across all functions by
ensuring processes and behaviors are aligned to the to reflect
"Champion Consumption" role.
Work with your leader to deliver on Cost of Consumption
Partner with the project and account team to ensure that
consumption milestones are on-track and properly shared.
Enable consumption delivery tracking to facilitate cost of
Act as the escalation point for systemic compliance issues.
You are expected to be the local expert and contact point for
local regulations, and security, privacy, and data protection.
You are the primary point person to drive compliance actions
throughout your organization.
Qualifications You will bring 5+ years’ of business management
experience delivering results by demonstrating the following
Cross-Boundary Collaboration. The collaboration spans across
Microsoft organizations and Product Groups. The ideal candidate
should have demonstrated capability in similar large organization
Optimizing Resources & Budgets
Program and Project Management
Develop strategic insights about how our business is running and
help the domain leader to elevate the functioning of the domain
Running business rhythm of business cadence, follow through
actions and ensuring their implementation
Proactively engage with peer group within the domain, other
domains, and MCS central functions to ensure the domain meets or
exceeds its obligations in running smooth consulting business
Assist Domain leader in timely communication and engagement with
global employee base
Must have prior experience in operational functions leading
direct or virtual teams
Location/Travel: You will be based anywhere in the United
States, with a preference for Issaquah, WA. Global travel will be
required, between 25 – 50%.
