Intake Session Form ndash REQ ID 20014-1 Technical Product Manager ndash Conversational AI Platform (CAIP) Tell us about your department The Conversational AI Platform (CAIP) is the backend platform that powers automated responses to questions asked in natural language (e.g. typed or spoken by the user). It enables AI-like experiences where a user can ldquotalkrdquo to it, it understands what they said, and it responds with relevant replies to help the customer. Project Description CAIP powers the ldquochatbotrdquo for the website, mobile app, and supports business initiatives from google chat to expanding interaction with stores and more. Position SummaryJob Description Technical Product Manager, Conversational AI Platform The Technical Product Manager (TPM), Conversational AI Platform at the Seattle Technology Development Center will drive new features through launch by coordinating dependencies and team schedule. You will work with engineers, product lead, UX, and business stakeholders to build tools and features that support natural language experiences. In this execution-focused role, you will anticipate dependencies and blocking issues, make tradeoffs, and balance customer needs against time and technical constraints. You will break apart ambiguous, complex features into deliverable pieces. You will help manage sprint schedules, write stories and functional specifications. You will identify process inefficiencies and improve them. This role provides a unique opportunity to have an impact at scale in a critical area of growth and potential. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field or equivalent work experience. Five or more years in a fast-paced consumer products or technology company with experience as a Product Manager or Program Manager in software or product delivery industries. Ability to deal with ambiguity with process, service, or product requirements, and analyze data and productengineering processes to improve efficiency, speed, and scale. Detail-oriented with demonstrated problem solving, analytical and organizational skills, including very clear and concise communication, both verbal and written. Effective communications with technical and non-technical audiences, including relationship-building and persuasive influence. Ability to influence without authority with examples of driving feature delivery. Ability to create and read technical documentation, e.g. flow diagrams, system diagrams, UML, API documentation. Experience in software development life cycle processes (e.g. agile, SCRUM, etc.) and JIRA. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Background and interest in chat automation. Release management, test engineering, or release engineering experience. Experience in software development life cycle processes (e.g. agile, SCRUM, etc.) and JIRA.
