SUMMARYPromote products, services and entertainment events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Telephones, visits, or writes to customers or organizations such as chambers of commerce, corporate employee recreation clubs, social clubs, and professional groups to persuade them to purchase tickets or attend Little Creek Casino Resort entertainment events.* Responsible for greeting and assisting patrons and answering inquiries relating to company sponsored events and promotions.* Utilizes the Vendini ticketing system to assist patrons with event information as well as event ticket purchasing and/or defunding with cash, comps, credit card and MVP point purchases.* Assist at concerts and special events with equipment set up, patron seating, dissemination of information, take down and/or equipment removal.* Memorizes scripts, reads or ad-libs using a microphone to identify and announce to customers upcoming promotions or events sponsored by Little Creek Casino Resort.* Interacts and visits with customers to promote sales of company products and services and solicits participation in casino sponsored events.* Delivers promotion items such as pins, posters, glasses, napkins and samples of products or services.* Comments on matters of interest to individual or groups of customers on current promotions or upcoming events.* Operates keyboard or data entry device to enter data into computer to maintain customer data base.* Compares data entered with source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.* Stock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise.* Compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data to be entered. Deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data.* Keep record of work completed.* Performs clerical duties such as sorting mail, stuffing bags, envelopes, stamping coupons, etc.* Other duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.LANGUAGE SKILLS:* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret marketing and promotions documents.* Ability to respond positively and effectively to the most sensitive customer inquiries or complaints.* Ability to write and give promotional speeches using original or innovative techniques or style.* Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on sales and promotion events to public groups and customers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY:* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to* successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.* The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.* The employee is occasionally required to sit.* The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:* The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to tobacco smoke.* The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)/And six months related experience and/or training* OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job.* Previous customer service experience preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Class II gaming license issued by the Squaxin Island Gaming CommissionOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proficiency with Microsoft Word; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other mainframe applications.
