Job Description:
The Global Rewards--Specialist will work within the Global
Rewards Team acting as a strategic advisor on a range of--Rewards
projects and programs to deliver a competitive, equitable and
holistic approach to Rewards. These efforts, in turn, will ensure
that our Rewards program, policies, practices and systems support
the enterprise's strategic objectives while leveraging current
industry trends. As an expert in the compensation field, the
Rewards Specialist will be expected to effectively manage global
projects, interact with key stakeholders globally and provide
consultative advice on technical compensation matters. This role
will participate in cross functional teams/projects by serving as a
best practice resource and will guide others in resolving complex
and technical compensation issues. Preferred location for this role
is in a GHD office in the US Pacific time zone including Phoenix,
AZ or in Vancouver, Canada.Primary function's of the Global Rewards
Specialist include: * Lead the design and maintenance of total
compensation plans and policies to maintain market competitiveness
and alignment with business strategy, including research,
consultation communications and implementation processes. * Manage
the development and maintenance of salary ranges based on a
thorough review of our markets.* Own the maintenance of GHD's Core
Job Architecture Framework (includes education, communication and
recommendations for changes to jobs, grades and related
indicators).* Manage third party survey participation, selection
and benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation structures
aligned with company philosophy. * Provide and deliver compensation
training and education materials to HR and People Managers. *
Partner effectively with others on the Total Rewards and HR teams
to support workload and execution, sharing/transfer of knowledge,
increase understanding of international issues and all aspects and
considerations around compensation programs and practices. * Lead
annual compensation processes including developing the approach and
project plan, system testing, executing the plan while engaging and
collaborating with appropriate stakeholders, managing communication
requirements and conducting post-process trouble-shooting and
lessons learned. * Proactively research and stay current in market,
regulatory and compliance trends. * Act as a consultant on
compensation issues such as job evaluation, FLSA exemption reviews,
compensation analyses, total reviews and related issues. * Design
and development of reporting that will enable the clear
presentation of remuneration analytics. * Management of Rewards
projects. Personal Competencies:* Tertiary qualification in HR or a
business related discipline.* Minimum of 10 years--experience in
compensation.* Professional services experience highly preferred. *
Bachelors degree.* Highly organized with strong attention to
detail. * Proficiency and experience in analysis of data. * Strong
numerical skills coupled with excellent written and verbal
communication.* Strong interpersonal and communications skills with
the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business
along with the broader People team. * Proficient use of Microsoft
