* DutiesHelpDutiesSummaryYou will serve as a ELECTROPLATER HELPER in the REPAIR DEPARTMENT, MACHINERY DIVISION of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilities* You will be providing assistance to Journeyman consisting of setting up job sites, in shop and aboard Submarines* You will be preparing and cleaning metals for plating using chemicals and mechanical air driven tools.* You will be making chemical additions to plating batches.* You will be manufacturing buffing and lea wheels used for polishing.* You will be maintaining hazardous material waste records and update You may be required to assist Journeyman Electroplaters photoengraving, Laser engraving, and NC engraving* You will be performing housekeeping duties in work areas to keep a safe work environment.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.Supervisory statusNoPromotion Potential9* Job family (Series)3711 Electroplating* RequirementsHelpRequirementsConditions of Employment* Must be a US Citizen.* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.* New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
