Amazon's shopping experience is designed for shoppers who
exactly know what they want. However, not all shopping journeys fit
that mold. Sometimes people shop to explore, discover, refine their
tastes or just have fun. Today, Amazon does little to service this
type of shopping behavior. With Posts, we want to address this gap
by introducing a new way to shop on Amazon - one that services the
less utilitarian aspects of shopping by encouraging shoppers to
explore and discover new brands and products by browsing
algorithmic feeds of branded lifestyle content. As Posts creates a
new, complementary shopping experience, shoppers will be able to
choose between search driven buying and feed driven exploratory
shopping, and seamlessly transition between the two. While our
current focus is on creating a new exploratory shopping experience
that shoppers love, we are excited by the multi-billion dollar
brand advertising opportunity that lies ahead as we monetize this
experience in the long run.
Launched in June 2019, Posts is experiencing explosive growth.
Currently shoppers can discover Posts on roughly 65% of mobile
detail pages. These Posts lead shoppers into a contextually
relevant feeds of engaging lifestyle content that encourages
shoppers to scroll, explore, discover and get inspired by new
products and brands.
As we look to build a highly engaging exploratory shopping and
brand discovery experience, we want to attract brands that have
established brand value and significant social media presence. This
requires a rethinking of our brand adoption and content ingestion
strategy and roadmap. We are looking for a PM who can identify
right metrics and create appropriate incentives to onboard the most
appealing brands with the most exciting content, and drive repeat
participation. You'll own the advertiser facing UX, features, and
onboarding workflows, including integration with third-party social
media publishing tools such as SproutSocial. In addition, you'll
own content moderation - how do we automate moderation through use
of ML to scale to millions of images and videos uploaded daily
while ensuring adherence to policy guidelines.
Finally, you'll own monetization for Posts. We believe Posts
offers the next multi-billion dollar opportunity for advertising at
Amazon, and you will be responsible for working with advertising
customers, and analyzing social advertising landscape to identify
the right revenue model (CPM, CPC, Promoted, auction design etc.)
and build out all necessary components to realize the
Given the strategic importance of Posts for Advertising and
Amazon overall, this role will have high visibility at S-Team
level. Since these are still early days of a disruptive
opportunity, you will be successful in this role if you have very
high bar on customer obsession, think big, dive deep, insist on
highest standards, and earns trust.

- 8+ years of technical product management, program management or
- 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology
decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a
- Bachelor's Degree
- Track record of personally championing and driving zero-to-one
innovation, leading to successful product launches.
- Experience of delivering products through partnerships with
teams across Amazon.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability
to define metrics, drive feature prioritization, and make business
- Excellent UX judgement. Proven record of delivering delightful
UX used by millions of users.
